Some graduate photographers
have turned to the social market, with some success. Now a rising
star in new style social photography, Amanda Duncan graduated from
NESCOT with ambitions to become a successful people photographer.
She has also managed a very successful Venture portrait studio therefore
following the latest portrait and digital trends.
She accompanied top portrait
and wedding photographer David Ward on a seminar tour of Europe
and quickly found that the attitude and ambience of European social
photographers more to her taste. More importantly, she soon sensed
that there was a growing demand for innovative images.
"I'm very influenced
by Vogue photographers like Nick Knight. Artistic interpretations
are vital to good portraiture and exciting wedding photography,
but I also believe that a photographer should say something genuine
about the client in his/hers photographs.
